Volunteer

Give your time and talents to support our school.

PTA Volunteer positions

Volunteering for a Greenwood PTA Committee is a great way to connect with other parents, support the school, and support your own Gator(s). Plus, you have a team to lean on, from a volunteer coordinator who can help you secure helpers to a communications VP who can help promote your cause or event. Take that step and volunteer. We’re here to help each other! In addition to the following Committees, the Nominations Committee is identifying candidates to serve as:

  • President-Elect (1-year term, followed by 1-year term as President): Job shadows the President, learning the requirements of the President role and filling in for the President as needed and upon request.
  • VP, Membership (2-year term): Solicits members, submits roster online to state organization, maintains membership database, keeps up to date current list of members.
  • VP, Programs (2-year term): Collaborates with principal and individual program committee chairs to coordinate, plan, and implement all PTA programs for the school year.
  • VP, Advocacy (2-year term): Demonstrates leadership on children’s issues at the local level by educating PTA members, community members and elected officials about PTA’s issues of concern.
  • VP, Communications (2-year term): Communicates to school staff and PTA membership via website, social media, the weekly e-newsletter, and flyers.
